World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before a component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-level version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're not sure of how much it will improve after a future reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly, and there is a high chance that the item could be obsolete or even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.

In the final game you'll find that the Best item upgrade way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

When you have the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic places on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes however, you may also want to think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires a different amount of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is leveled up.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an individual player improves a piece of equipment the original Best item upgrader is replaced by a new item. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to do so. If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as the chance to crit, attack damage, or additional effects (such as increased heal over time or reloading speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots.
