World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of weapons, armors and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will gain 3percent of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.

The cost of upgrading an item increases as it reaches the item's current level. The cost increases as the item's level rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a stat boost or an extra effect. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by specific cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before a component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it is used on (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can change the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the probability that a higher-level version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment even if they're not sure of how much it will improve after a future reset.

If a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly, and there is a high chance that the item could be obsolete or even break if it fails; a failure to upgrade can cause the destruction of Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder as well as the upgraded item. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Some upgrades also give an additional bonus when reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the effectiveness of all nodes in a radius around them, including pre-existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded many ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as possible.

In the final game you'll find that the Best item upgrade way to enhance your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and offer significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and then re-install.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with another Glyph with the same rank, or a higher rank, which will boost the overall value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the many Glyphs, and there are some rare Glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

When you have the desired Glyphs then you need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes in a radius surrounding the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Glyphs boost all nodes connected to them, so it is recommended to place Glyphs in strategic places on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance that a Druid should try to place their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes however, you may also want to think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the effectiveness of certain items by placing upgraded components into them. This is known as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each item level requires a different amount of components to reach and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is leveled up.

Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab in crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe completed will result in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used to the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned you will be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an individual player improves a piece of equipment the original Best item upgrader is replaced by a new item. The same armor will be upgraded to the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new Best item upgrade also comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback since the item may become more expensive even if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled if the player has enough tokens to do so. This causes the item to be exchanged for a new one, which will have a level 1 base and a totally different set of bonuses. This is useful for certain items, but it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can waste a lot of resources.

Some upgrades can be rerolled several times to increase their value, allowing the player to customize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants an increase in power if the player continuously enters or leaves the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This item upgrader is extremely useful in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth as much as 50x the value of a non-upgraded counterpart.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to boost the level of their available equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an item, it has a chance to fail--the rate of failure increases as you exceed the maximum amount of upgrades. Failures can result in the item reverting to its initial state and the player having to spend additional items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item is not upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as the chance to crit, attack damage, or additional effects (such as increased heal over time or reloading speed). However, the player may continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that was added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost for upgrading non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade--for instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades at a cost of 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with an incredibly lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements than regular gear. For example, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Regardless, the player must visit the NPC [ArmorBoboko in Central Flarine. Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they want to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade requires the use of different ingredients needed to upgrade.
